| Hi to the MFR community
is there anyway to rename a series of folder with a txt file (MFR 6.12)? I know its possible and easy to do with the files but couldnt find a way to do it with folders (Parent Folder)

Good afternoon! Here's what I'm trying to do:
I've got folders and sub-folders full of artists and their respective albums. In each folder is a folder.jpg file. I'd like to take all those files, copy them to another consolidated folder, and rename them using the <parent-folder> parameter. Theoretically, I'd end up with a folder full of files named U2 - Joshua Tree.jpg, etc.
I can do all of this already, but instead of copying, they're moved. Is there a way to copy the files instead of move them? | I am posting here as all my emails to orders@finebytes.com and support@finebytes.com are being rejected: "Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 ... Relaying denied"
MFR : Personal Code Has Changed My personal code for MFR v6.2 has changed. Dell had to replace the motherboard on my laptop under warranty after which I then re-installed Windows 7x86 Ultimate.
Could I please receive a new personal code for my laptop ? How can I contact you to send my new PERSONAL CODE ?
Thanks

Trying to use
Formatter <ID3V2:TPE1> - <ID3V2:TIT2>
To rename all my MP3 files to be (ID3v2 Artist) - (ID3v2 Song Name)
And it just plain wont work.
Shows up as .mp3 in the preview.
Please help. In earlier version of MFR the presets were saved at C:\Program Files\FineBytes\MFR\Presets. Where are they stored in version 6.23?
Also, can I just copy my old presets into the 6.23 folder? Are they compatible?? Hello, I just installed version 6.23 and I'm trying to use the FreeDB filter. When I press the "Perform Search" button a dialog box appears that says: "Search in FreeDB failed: Unexpected content from freedb.org. The web-based search service might be down.".
I waited several hours and tried it again and it continues to fail in the same way. Is there a means of debugging this issue? Are there log files?
I use the Kaspersky firewall, and I've given MFR full access...
Thanks in advance,
F The finebytes.com site and contact emails at finebytes.com domain were down for the last few weeks. The site is up again, but contact emails are still dead. I am working to fix this problem as soon as possible. In the meanwhile, for all MFR personal matters, you can contact me at davidoha@gmail.com.
All registrations orders made in the last period were processed today.
I a deeply sorry for the inconvenience.
David Hello,
MFR 6.23 was released today. This version includes two fixes for bugs that were reported on this message board by nieroster (Thanks). - Help files could not be opened from the program interface - Evaluation message appeared on startup when using a 64-bit system.
-- David The MFR console mode program was missing in the installation package of version 6.22 that was released two days ago. The error was fixed and the installation package for both editions is now complete. Users who downloaded this version in the past two days are invited to re-download it.
-- David Hello,
MFR 6.22 was released today. This version includes a fix for better support in Windows 7 and Vista. MFR now save presets, log and configuration to the Common Application Data folder instead local program folder, due to Windows 7 and Vista security restrictions. Note that if you created custom presets, you have to move them manually to the \ProgramData\FineBytes\MFR folder.
-- David Version 6.21 fixes some minor problems in the licensing system: - The MEX control evaluation message is not shown on program start-up anymore.
- MFR does not require anymore a write permission to the Windows\System32 Folder.
-- David Magic File Renamer 6.20 was released today. This version was compiled under .NET framework 3.5. The previous version (6.12) was compiled for .NET framework 1.1 and had installation problems on Windows 7 and Vista, especially on 64-bit system.
Note that this is a minor version, and no other features were added.
License codes from previous version are valid for also for this version. It is recommended to uninstall the previous version before installing the new one.
Hi. Could anyone please tell me, what does the numbers ''368731'' in the column Length (ID3v2) mean? I already figured out alone what mean Error but I have no idea what that numbers stand for? I also have a subquestion: is it possible that this numbers are different? If yes, will they mean the same? Here is the screenshot: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v309/Andreii/mfr.jpg Thank you. Hi. I need some help with the following Orginal File Name (TV Show Name ) 1x15 Result Wanted (TV Show Name) s01e15 any help would be welcomed thanks I am looking for the method step by step to use the date-time stamp of the filename as a means to rename the files in order, oldest to most recent. The file names are all in one folder. I do not see a seach option for old posts similar to IPB boards, so if this is a re-ask, please forgive me. Hi, I have files that are named in the following format: Artist - Album - Track Number - Track title.mp3
Can I auto populate the IDv tags from the file name? (I know that Music Match Jukebox was able to do this so I'm sure that MFR can, somehow.) Simple Guidline: 1) You have to Install the old dot.Net Framework 1.1, which installed on my machine without the regsvcs-Error.
2) Right-click on the MagicFileRenamer_6.12Pro.msi-File and choose "Troubleshoot compatibility", and the the installer will jump over the Version Check.
3) Install Magiv File Renamer.
If you don't take Step two, the Installer wil crash with an unexpected error code 2869
